All non-Mason students must apply to George Mason University as a non-degree student before applying to a Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation semester program.
Apply to George Mason University
Go to the George Mason University website and submit a non-degree student application. Choose the undergraduate application, even if you have already graduated. Transcripts from all undergraduate institutions are required for non-Mason students and may be submitted as part of the Non-Degree Application.
The application fee is waived for students who are only applying to Mason to attend an SMSC program. Use the code SMSCMASON when prompted.
Deadlines for Applying to Mason
Turn in your application to George Mason University by the deadline for the semester you plan to attend. You must be accepted to Mason as a non-degree student before you can submit your SMSC enrollment deposit.
