Experience

Jamie Copsey has been a conservation trainer and facilitator for more than 15 years, working for many of those as Head of Learning and Development for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. In 2017 he took up his most recent position with the CPSG with a remit to scale up global capacity for species conservation planning. Jamie has developed and delivered training courses — in particular around conservation management, leadership and facilitation — within North America, South America, South East Asia, Africa, and multiple islands across the Caribbean, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. He has facilitated strategic planning workshops for a variety of conservation organizations within the government and non-government sector. He has published on a range of topics including conservation management and leadership, community conservation, capacity building and invasive species management.
