Experience

Erin’s graduate studies focused on digestion of native African figs by blue duikers.  After a brief time with the Washington State Extension as a wildlife specialist, she accepted the nutrition fellow position at Saint Louis Zoo, where she managed the zoo’s Nutrition Consulting Program from 2006-2010. She became clinical nutritionist at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Zoo in 2012 and also acts as the nutrition advisor for the Ungulate, the Caprid, and the Old World Monkey Taxon Advisory Groups.
