We’re happy to report that the SMSC Halpin Family Endowment scholarship application is now available for undergraduate students who will be joining us in the fall for a semester program in conservation! Students complete the application through Mason’s AcademicWorks by first signing in and completing a general application prior to being able to apply for the SMSC scholarship.

Here are some highlights for this award:

  • Must be accepted into the semester program and plan to attend the upcoming semester
  • Must have at least 30 credits at time of application and 45 by the time the award is made
  • Must answer two essay questions and include resume
  • There are two award types: merit and need-based
    • For merit awards, students must have 3.0 overall GPA
    • Merit awards will be in increments of $500, $1,000, and $2,500
    • For need-based awards, students must have 2.75 overall GPA
