Scholarships Are Available!
The 2014-2015 academic year marks the first year of this program. A limited number of scholarships are available to certificate students. Scholarship funds can be applied to course fees, travel, food and lodging for one training course of their choice.

In addition to individual courses, the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation offers both Graduate and Professional Certificates. We presently offer a Graduate Certificate in Applied Conservation Science (details coming soon) and a Professional Certificate in Conservation Practice. This non-credit certificate is designed for conservation researchers, managers, and practitioners in government, non-governmental organizations and research institutions worldwide who seek to gain enhanced knowledge and skills to help meet today’s biodiversity conservation needs. The certificate trains participants in essential skills in conservation research and practice, while guiding their development of a crucial understanding of the principles and philosophies underlying effective conservation and biodiversity programs.
